Most of you who are reading this will probably remember Digimon. It became popular during the anime boom of the early 2000s, which was kick-started by the success of Pokémon. I always enjoyed Pokémon more, but Digimon was awesome in its own right, and if you take away the similarities of battling monsters, the fact the two franchise's names both share the same third syllable and that things evolved (or 'digivolved'), you have something that is a lot different.

Got to admit, this film was way better than the Pokémon one. |
While it looks like the success of Pokémon is a never-ending thing, Digimon has gradually been fading into obscurity outside of Japan for some time, and would probably disappear completely if it wasn't for a large group of dedicated fans who still have passionate flames burning for the franchise, and it is these same passionate fans who are currently campaigning to get the Nintendo 3DS game 'Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode' localised! Here is what the campaign is all about:
What our campaign is asking for is for Namco Bandai Games to localize "Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode" for 3DS in America, Europe and other territories outside Japan. We have a petition going on (you can reach it by the link below) and we ask every Digimon fan and everyone interested in the localization of this game to sign it and spread the word.
Here's a trailer for the game (no wonder people want it localised, it looks awesome!):
So yeah, get on the Operation Decode Facebook page (click here) and show your support with a like, and make sure you sign the petition (click here)! As I write this, the petition only needs 1,653 more signatures! Remember, this doesn't just have to be a campaign for this particular game, because if this campaign is successful, game companies might start to actually realise that there is a lot of people in Western territories who do like games like this, and typically Japanese games in general, and we want more to be localised for us to play!!!
